WHEN WILL URBANITE THEATRE BE BACK?

We're eager to return to what we do best, telling thrilling stories in an intimate space. But we have to make sure we are doing that responsibly. Currently, we are working on providing not only a safe environment for patrons to enjoy theater, but a healthy and sanitary working environment for our staff and artists.

We are monitoring developments from Actors' Equity Association and await further guidance on safety requirements to gain permissions to hire actors. We will also continue to stay in close contact with the Florida Professional Theatre Association.

Thank you for your patience, patronage, and support. We'll be back as soon as we can.

URBANITE THEATRE'S STATEMENT ON GEORGE FLOYD AND BLACK LIVES MATTER

At Urbanite Theatre, we believe in radical acceptance, relentless inclusion, and the unwavering support of vulnerable communities.

Our institution would not be complete without the stories that emerge from the Black community, or the Black artists that help make them.

We recognize the anger, grief, and outrage that so many are feeling. And we're deeply saddened to see so many suffer. Through our work, we will continue to shine light on the stories that help us connect, evolve and love.
