March 29, 2022: Urbanite Theatre is no longer requiring a negative test or proof of vaccination for patrons. The CDC currently rates COVID-19 transmission risk in both Sarasota and Manatee counties as low, and the #SafeArtsSarasota organizations have modified recommendations for audience protocols.

Mask Policy

Due to the intimate nature of our performance space, all guests are required to wear masks over their noses and mouths for the safety of our artists. We recommend using KF94 or KN95 masks. Please note: performers will not be masked, but will be fully vaccinated and tested regularly.

Vaccination

Urbanite Theatre is a 100% vaccinated workplace where all staff, employees, and artists are vaccinated against COVID-19. We strongly encourage being fully vaccinated and boosted before attending any performances at the theater. Please visit the Sarasota County Health and Human Services Department for vaccination information.

HVAC

The Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning units at Urbanite Theatre have been upgraded by adding in-duct UV air purifiers and air scrubbers designed to reduce airborne molecules, including bacteria and viruses. Urbanite Theatre utilizes medical-grade MERV-13 filters in all units. The system's ventilation has also been tested and calibrated by a certified TABB technician, and reviewed by a mechanical engineer to verify proper levels of outside air replacement.

Contact Tracing

If you test positive for COVID-19 after attending an event at Urbanite Theatre (within seven days), please contact us at 941-321-1397.

Patrons experiencing fever, fatigue, difficulty breathing, a dry cough, or any other symptoms related to COVID-19 should not attend under any circumstances. Refunds or exchanges will also be offered to any patrons who are unable to attend due to illness or a positive COVID-19 test up to ten days before your scheduled event.
