Attending Urbanite Theatre
In alignment with the #SafeArtsSarasota Initiative, all guests attending Urbanite Theatre must show either:
- A negative PCR COVID-19 test administered by a medical provider/official testing center no earlier than 72 hours before the time of their performance
-A negative rapid antigen COVID-19 test administered by a medical provider/official testing center no earlier than 24 hours prior to the time of their performance. Home testing kit results will not be accepted for entry.
-If preferred, patrons may voluntarily show proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 at the door as an acceptable alternative to negative COVID-19 test results.
Both physical and electronic presentation of documents will be accepted. Photo identification must accompany the presentation of all documents.
At this time, all guests are required to wear masks regardless of vaccination status, for the safety of our artists. We will be monitoring CDC masking guidelines, local positivity rates, and the Florida Department of Health in Sarasota County to make further decisions about masks. Please note: performers will not be masked, but will be fully vaccinated and tested regularly.
Urbanite Theatre is a 100% vaccinated workplace where all staff, employees, and artists are vaccinated against COVID-19. We strongly encourage being fully vaccinated before attending any performances at the theater. Please visit the Sarasota County Health and Human Services Department for vaccination information.
The Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning units at Urbanite Theatre have been upgraded by adding in-duct UV air purifiers and air scrubbers designed to reduce airborne molecules, including bacteria and viruses. The system's ventilation has also been tested and calibrated by a certified TABB technician, and reviewed by a mechanical engineer to verify proper levels of outside air replacement.
If you test positive for COVID-19 after attending an event at Urbanite Theatre (within seven days), please contact us at 941-321-1397.
Patrons experiencing fever, fatigue, difficulty breathing, a dry cough, or any other symptoms related to COVID-19 should not attend under any circumstances. Patrons with a temperature above 100.6° will not be admitted to any Urbanite Theatre event, and will be offered a full refund or exchange. Refunds or exchanges will also be offered to any patrons who are unable to attend due to illness or a positive COVID-19 test up to ten days before your scheduled event.
Half-Capacity Saturday Matinees
On select Saturday matinee performances, we will be limiting the audience to a maximum capacity of 30 audience members to allow for some distancing between seats. In order to accomodate patrons who prefer to attend in a smaller audience, the tickets for these events will be available for $54 each.
AT THE WAKE OF A DEAD DRAG QUEEN Half-Capacity Performances:
Half-Capacity performances are only available as single tickets for one show at this time. We will be making a decision about Half-Capacity tickets for the rest of our productions later in the season. All ticketholders will be contacted about further half-capacity opportunities.
