By Anna Jordan
directed by Barbara Redmond
United States Premiere
April 10 - May 3, 2015
Hendrix is growing up. Or at least he’s trying to. But between his mother’s constant preaching on the virtues of an organic lifestyle, her difficult new twentysomething girlfriend, and the bullies at school who mercilessly accuse him of being gay like his mother, Hendrix is desperate to prove his masculinity. When Hendrix enters the adult world, he gets far more than he bargained for. He meets Luminita – a young girl enslaved into an unbearable life. Though from completely different worlds, their unlikely secret friendship grows in stolen moments in a sordid room above a fried chicken shop.
